On the morning of the second of February of 2007 The Lunch Game Board Member Derek pulled the number 21 out of his hat; Lombardi's was the chosen destination for TLG's official kick-off outing (Board Member Nick audited the drawing via telephone).

Attendees to TLG's inaugural event were Board Member Nick, Board Member Alex, Board Member Jen, Board Member Pete and Board Member Derek. Three pizzas and a pitcher of Sam Adams were ordered and a good time was had by all. Following the meal, attendees followed the precatory language of TLG's constitution (creation pending) and proceeded to the first bar in sight: The Spring Lounge. Another good time was had by all.

TLG would like to congratulate all participants and looks forward to the long-lasting and bountiful relationship to come. Click here or on the picture for all inaugural TLG outing pictures.

As a clarification for those unfamiliar with TLG's rules. The choice of the establishment for the post-lunch drink generally proceeds (pending formal codification) along these lines:
1. Look for the closest establishment that can be seen from the lunch spot. If there is only one - that's it.
2. If there are more than one within sight, assess which appears to be closer - that's it.
3. If two establishments are equally close (i.e., one on each side of lunch spot), make a left out of the lunch spot's door - that's it.
4. If no establishment is visible from the lunch spot, make a left out of the lunch spot's door. Walk until an establishment becomes visible - that's it.

The Spring Lounge is a wonderful place.

The "turn left" rule is not to be ignored, and will figure prominently in our rules and regulations, methinks.
